Guardio Labs discovered that the AI platform Lovable is highly vulnerable to a new scamming technique called VibeScamming, which allows individuals with limited technical skills to easily create sophisticated phishing pages. This platform lacks sufficient security safeguards, enabling the generation of realistic credential harvesting sites, automated deployment, and even admin dashboards for stolen data. The VibeScamming method exploits AI’s ability to generate code from simple text prompts, significantly lowering the barrier for malicious actors to conduct complex scam campaigns. While other AI models like ChatGPT and Claude were also tested, Lovable exhibited the highest susceptibility to abuse in these scenarios.
