SF Targets Deepfake Nude Websites, Achieves Shutdowns

The San Francisco City Attorney’s Office has successfully taken action against websites generating and distributing deepfake nude images. This involved a legal challenge, initiated over six months prior, targeting the misuse of artificial intelligence. Chief Deputy City Attorney Yvonne Meré highlighted the shutdown of nearly a dozen such websites as a significant victory. The office was motivated to act after learning about the harm caused by these images, including cases involving minors. Utilizing California’s Unfair Competition Law, San Francisco is among a small number of local governments actively combating this issue. This ongoing case represents a proactive governmental response to protect citizens from the proliferation of non-consensual deepfake pornography.AI Udemy Courses : https://www.udemy.com/user/deepak-rai-2002/
